Dramatic footage shows rescuers CATCHING semi-naked woman as she jumps from window of burning building

The woman escaped serious injury even though a sheet held in the street below by horrified neighbours to break her fall ripped on impact


This is the dramatic moment a woman dressed only in her underwear jumped from the third floor of a burning building.

Miraculously, she survived, even though a sheet held in the street below by horrified neighbours ripped on impact.

The unbelievable escape happened in the town of Cedeira in Galicia, Spain at 10am on Saturday
The woman panicked when fire broke out in an electrical panel by the front door of the block of flats and smoke began to fill the building.
The woman, 47, had previously tried to escape out of the door but was forced back in by the smoke.
That is when closed the doors and climbed out of the window.


The woman was caught in a sheet which ripped on impact 

Her boyfriend had gone out for a walk with the dogs while she stayed in bed and returned to find the chaotic scene and his girlfriend hanging by her fingertips.
Taxi driver, Antonio Rey told La Voz de Galicia: "I saw her body half out of the window with smoke all around her and you could barely see her."



On the street below, the woman's partner and other residents rushed to get blankets to cushion her fall.

The dramatic video posted on Youtube shows her let go and plummet through the sheets.
She then hit the pavement with considerable force but survived.
