In 2014, 3-year-old Karina Chikitova miraculously survived 11 days in the Siberian forest, which was teeming with bears and wolves, with only her dog for companionship.

She sustained herself by consuming wild berries and drinking from a river, while seeking warmth by curling up next to her faithful pet dog.

Eventually, her canine companion returned to her village and led rescuers to her location. The footage below shows the moment the search team finally found her.

Karina's survival story is indeed a remarkable one. The village from which she disappeared, Olom, is surrounded by deep forests of taiga.

This vast wilderness posed an immense challenge for the young girl, yet she managed to survive.

The dog that accompanied Karina was an Alsatian puppy named Naida. Naida's breed is known for their intelligence, loyalty, and protective instincts, traits that undoubtedly played a crucial role in Karina's survival.

Naida not only provided warmth but also a sense of security in the dangerous Siberian wilderness.

In recognition of Karina's incredible survival and Naida's loyalty, a monument was erected at the Yakutsk airport. Additionally, a book titled "Karina. 12 Days in the Taiga" was published, further immortalizing their story.

This tale of survival and friendship dramatically changed the life of a little girl from a tiny village and her family.
