Author Norman Ohler claims that Hitler relied heavily on a mixture of cocaine and opioids. 

“Hitler needed those highs to substitute [for] his natural charisma, which ... he had lost in the course of the war," Ohler said.

Historians believe that hitlers drug usage may have played a role in his decision-making and behavior during World War II. Hitler's drug use increased significantly from the fall of 1941 until the winter of 1944, and it is possible that his drug use may have affected his judgment and decision-making during this time.
